Amanda K Snyder is an impressionistic style painter based in Denver, Colorado. She was born and raised in Southern Louisiana, right outside of New Orleans. She received her BFA from the Art and Design School at Louisiana State University. Following school, she started a small letterpress design shop, Paper Plates Press, with her husband. Currently she works as a fine artist exploring the beauty she finds in life’s smaller moments.

Amanda‘s work centers around curiosity, reflection, and imperfection. She explores themes of family, past narratives and the visual power of connection.

Her painting practice is an opportunity to slow down and look within; giving time and space to reflect and explore. It’s not only about recognizing the beauty from the past, it’s about tapping into the experience and emotions. Leading to new insights and broader perspectives within oneself.

Amanda’s current work is about capturing a brief moment in time informed by vintage snapshots. She works in acrylics on canvas, composing images with a strong focus on scale, color, and texture. Her use of expressive brushwork in her paintings, create textural detail and the reality of imperfections. Her paintings are an immersive experience with the ability to draw you in deeper.
